Surf in Morocco
Surf and enjoy the stunning beaches of Imesouane
Imsouane is a small coastal fishing village, mainly sought after by surfers. Here, you can spend peaceful days enjoying the sun and crystal-clear water.
The point break “Magic Bay” is home to the longest wave in Morocco, which breaks over 500 meters. For this reason, this beach is ideal for less experienced surfers and longboarders. There are several schools and places to rent equipment.
No trip along the Moroccan coast would be complete without passing through Imsouane!
Also, explore the town and immerse yourself in the surf hippie culture at the local cafes and shops.
Among the best surf spots, we also find Taghazout, Essaouira, and Safi.
Essaouira beach is located about 3 hours by car from Marrakesh, ideal for intermediate to medium-level surfers. The beach stretches about 15 km in a crescent shape, and the best time of day to catch these magnificent waves is in the morning.
To the south is Tildi, a beach where you can also find several marabous (African storks). Continuing south, we reach Tamri, famous for its banana trees.
Dakhla has become famous as a center for windsurfing and kitesurfing, with beaches of crystal-clear blue water. It is located in Western Sahara, and it is advisable to travel there by air.
